Oh Boy!

As a mom, I LOVE photos of my children
even if they're not perfect..
because I deem it as one of those "life as it happens" kinda things:
if you don't snap now you'll miss it forever.

As a photographer, I feel like everything has to be perfect..
so, I'm constantly in limbo..
nevertheless, here is a sneak look into little W's newborn photos,
 perfectly imperfect.

Here are BOTH my sweet babies.. ugh I just want to squeeze them!

W's nursery is travel themed.. Ill be debuting that soon,
(PROMISE) so we HAD to have some photos of him being packed away ;)

Oh Belly!

We're fortunate to live super close to the
Wichita Falls Wildlife Animal Refuge that surrounds Mt. Scott
& it's one of the prettiest places (inland) I've ever been to.

 Being a photographer I needed to capture us at the refuge.

So, with tripod on hand & timer set,
we were able to get some beautiful photos right as the sun was setting.

These photos will later be turned into our Holiday card a well.

To see more from our trip at the refuge, be sure to visit The Captured Blog :)

See you SOON new boo!

A Happy Halloween

Every year we encourage (and create) costumes for halloween that are not the standard.
 I'm sure with enough begging we would have no problem buying some princess costume
or wacky character for our Emma.
But, our sweet girl loves portraying women that matter..

Over the years she's been Lady Gaga,

as well as the iconic Audrey Hepburn

& this year,  she dressed up as none other than
Rosie the Riveter.

The saddest thing every year is when someone askes her
"who are you supposed to be?"
The year of GaGa, she was questioned if she was a
jersey shore D List Celebrity,
and mistaken for a "toddler & tiara" reality show brat the year of Audrey.
This year, she blasted who she was before people had the
 opportunity to confuse her as anyone else.

Not knowing tons of people here in Oklahoma, we went to a
trunk or treat on post so she could interact with kids her age.

{Our sweet new boo was along for the ride, too}

& on Halloween when we all went out,we decided to dress up as well..
as an iconic royal couple...

{Thanks Em, for using the big girl camera}

I even pushed around my British Silver Cross Pram - to hold all the treats for the evening :)

I'm not sure how many more photos of just our family of 3 we will get.

{Photo courtesy of our camera timer}

Prior to Halloween,we did take E for some pumpkin fun
- although the "patches" here are no where NEAR as cool as the ones in the mitten
.. le sigh.

{and last  but not least, a little glimpse from E's Class halloween party}

Hope your Halloween was less Spooky & more happy like ours :)

In the Center of the Ring

We try to get out once a week and do SOMETHING.. anything.
Well you know we were desperate when we agreed to surprise Emma with a trip to the circus.

pure joy captured there!!

I didn't get TONS Of photos, it was definitely one of those "enjoy in the moment" nights..

It was a late tuesday night.. and we only made it to the half way point.. but, nonetheless it was a GREAT evening.. :)

Home is JUST over that Mountain.

Well per the army way.. nothing ever goes as planned.. but it goes the way it was supposed to.

We intended to live on Post again, we like being close to everything & with any city there are rough areas -- that we weren't too sure about.

But, unfortunately waiting months in an hotel - wasn't in the cards for us -- lol because we're not gluten for punishment.

So in two VERY STRESSFUL days of dealing with realtors we found a neighborhood we loved then a house in it that fit us perfectly.

We've spent the past 3 weeks trying to get everything together... and make it home again..

& the cats have entirely made themselves comfortable...

Seriously, how cute are they??

& as much as I would have been entirely content continuing to home school our Emmy, we happened to be zoned for the BEST school district/elementary in our area & she wanted to go..

The Bus driver/Principal ( I know how funny, right) picks up each kid at their house.. and then drops them off in the afternoon -- Did I mention it's a super small school?

She seems to be doing good in her new school.. aside from the early morning wake-up calls :)

& she LOVES getting dressed daily with a purpose. lol that's my girl!

I will soon share more photos of our new home.. as we get it just the way we like it..
stay tuned :)
