Best of Valentines | Handmade + More

When it comes to parties and adorable kids, I consider myself a true expert.

One of my favorite things to do is push the envelope as far as events go. I like finding decor and clothing that will not only stand out at my parties and sparkle on my kids,  but that I can also use when the balloons have popped and the cookies have crumbled.

Early on with my littles, I developed a love for handmade items; from tutu's to headbands I really learned to value the unique and disregard the mass produced.

I've created a fun compilation of decor, gifts + party supplies that will not only ROCK at your next cupid bash, but they will also be tiny treasures to hold onto for years to come.

On top of loving customized holiday decorations and wearables it's super important to me that items are quality as we like to turn our party favors into seasonal decor or vice versa.
Special Thanks to Burlap Blondie + Glitter.Me.Pretty for the ever adorable party supplies!

Emma (+ Weston) were both loving this black teething necklace from Mason + Birdie.. he held her down for  quite sometime for a cuddle and to chew on it! I would highly recommend this for any new mama, or soon to be mama (or big sister who loves a good baby snuggle) ;)

One of my favorite pieces were undoubtedly the mommy + me necklace set from SteelRibbon Jewelry

Find out where all of these amazing pieces came from + hurry over to get your own fast.. Valentine's day is coming quick and I'd love to see your littles rocking these fun wearables or your home decorated in the best banners!

Weston Knox | Nursery re-do | Hush Little Bebe Designs

There's that bitter sweet realization, when you've lowered the crib mattress + packed away the crib bumpers that graduates your little from infant to toddler.

I had been wanting to re-do Weston's Infamous Pinterest Pinned nursery for what felt like ever, and really drew inspiration from a custom made quilt from Hush Little Bebe Designs.

Almost every piece in his room was given a fresh coat of paint or some sort of new transformation to match the big boy nursery!

These letters sure have come a long way!

a peak at the set up

The crib sheet was also custom made by the same company; Hush Little Bebe Designs to match his room!

As I'm preparing to also transition him from a crib to a toddler bed, I can't help but think; He's grown so fast, in such a short amount of time!

I also did a editorial spread for our custom quilt from HLB... and LOVED how some of the shots turned out!

Girls of Summer | Daydream Believers Spotlight

Recently, I photographed our Sweet Daughter + her bestie in one of our favorite handmade shop's newest designs. I'm a lover of ALL things handmade - there's just something about a piece that you know someone spent time designing, cutting, sewing and pouring themselves into. I've been lucky enough to photograph for this specific boutique for almost 6 years + I'm so glad she continues to design outfits my kids love.

Michelle, from Daydream Believers Designs was probably our first introduction to handmade clothing when our sweet e was just 2! That's right, Emma was part of the #originaltutucrew. They started the revolution of little girls wearing fluffy tutu's with their everyday outfits - that's now become a right of passage for every mom with a girl.

This particular outfit features a Peter Pan collar halter top + comfy high waist shorts. I mean, who doesn't LOVE Peter Pan collars? I feel like I'm mentally designing 2016's halloween costume around Neverland ;)

Nonetheless, If you're in the market for some handmade, designed with love duds for your little belle or beau - head on over and check out DBD :)

River Babe Threads | Lake Life | Feature Post

Mitten Love | River Babe Threads

When Kendra + I stumbled upon each other in a social media group (that magically brings bloggers + shop owners together) it was totally meant to be.

Even though we live a whole day's drive away from our home state, we will always be Michiganians or Michiganders... depending on who you ask.

Growing up in the Great Lake State, naturally we spent more time swimming in fresh water lakes then most (non mitten residents) may in a lifetime. The newest "Lake Life" raglan, River Babe Threads has debuted totally caught our attention, too!

Every Michigan resident knows it can be 90* one day & 32* the next, making this particular style of tee a total staple; it's light enough to wear on a hot day and warm enough to layer up in the evening as you watch the sunset around a campfire! Besides, who doesn't love a cozy soft shirt to wear in over the summer?

Seriously.. those teeth | SWOON!

Be sure to head over to River Babe Threads
or check the shop out on instagram | @riverbabethreads

As always, here in Dunphyland, we're huge supporters of small businesses as well as Local Shops & although we may not be physically local to the Mitten right now, we still share mitten love!

Sweetie & Roo | Blog Feature | lifestyle

Sweetie & Roo | Blog Feature

Recently, Weston's Nursery was chosen to be embellished with one of Sweetie & Roo's personalized
art pieces!

Now that our little guy is over a year old, the itch is happening for me to start changing out pieces in his adorable nursery!

When I first found out I was pregnant, we found one piece and centered the entire nursery around it.

Our theme is vintage travel (currently) + you can view and read all about the details of most of it here : Weston's Nursery | as seen on PINTEREST

Sweet & Roo makes customized art pieces in a variety of different themes and Lindsay could probably design up anything your heart and mind could imagine.

Our particular piece has W's name + birthdate flying off of a soaring plane.

If you're looking for art to display in your home or even searching for a personalized gift, Sweetie & Roo is the place to go :)
